The US Embassy in Honduras Celebrates First Anniversary of “Feed the Future” USAID-ACCESS Project

To celebrate the first anniversary of the creation of the “Alliance for the dry corridor” (“Alianza para el Corredor Seco”) in Honduras, the United States is proud to be a partner in this important initiative to help thousands of people living in extreme poverty improve their life.

Through the Access project Feed the Future”, as well as a $5 million contribution to the  to the “Honduran Investment Fund” (“Fondo Hondureño de Inversión Social”)  The Government of Honduras has been able to provide access to water and renewable energy; which has resulted in the reduction in 56 per cent of acute malnutrition in children under two years old in 230 communities and now 5,000 families  have access to irrigation systems, allowing them to diversify crops and increase revenues.
