U.S. Citizen Town Hall Meeting in La Ceiba

All U.S. Citizens are invited to a Town Hall Meeting at the Mazapan School in La Ceiba on Monday, January 23, 2012 at 5:30 p.m.

Following the Town Hall meeting, applications will be accepted for adult U.S. passport renewals. The following items are required to
renew an adult U.S. passport:

  1. Form DS-82- Instructions and forms available at
    http://travel.state.gov/passport/forms/ds82/ds82_843.html
  2. Most recent U.S. passport (issued at or after the age of 16)
  3. Photocopy of U.S. passport
  4. One passport photo
  5. You will need to present a deposit slip for the payment of
    the passport fee of 2,112.00 Lempiras. Payment must be made in advance at the Banco Atlantida San Isidro Office, Avenida San Isidro across the street from Plaza del Sol. Payments must be made IN CASH in Lempiras in the form of a deposit to the U.S. Embassy account. You must submit your previous passport to the bank teller.
  6. Mailing address and local phone number for delivery.

In order to be admitted, please present your U.S. passport. All citizens of the United States of America are welcome.

    It would be nice if this were scheduled for earlier in the day so that those of us who live in other places, like Colon, could attend. Perhaps a meeting could be set up in Tocoa or Trujillo at a later time. Some of us are being left without a voice.
