Villeda Asks for Verification Test

Liberal Congressperson, Marcia Villeda, yesterday assured the Public Ministry that she did not falsify the signature of Manuel Zelayza on the letter where he allegedly renounced his presidency.

In order to remove any doubt, she voluntarily asked the Attorney General, Luis Rubi, to issue a handwriting test, “With all due respect I stand before you asking that this particular prosecution practice the relevant investigative procedures.”

“Some media states that I have participated in the signing of the relinquishment made by former President Manuel Zelaya Rosales, allegations which are totally false,” Villeda claimed. “So based on rights as a citizen, I ask that an investigation begin assist me to ratify the non-participation of myself in that document,” she concluded.

The MP will begin issuing a series of some 50 handwriting tests for analysis by experts.
