Yesterday’s Quake – 4.8

Monday’s earthquake was reported to be 4.8 on the Richter scale, and occurred 50 miles north, northwest of La Ceiba.

The Bay Islands have experienced most of the recent quake activities, with cracks appearing in structures, and houses shaking.

Field experts have stated the recent quakes are due to an activation of two faults, the Aguán and the Chamelecón, and believe Honduras will continue to experience earthquakes for some time.
