Bomb Squad agents arrived on the scene to prevent an explosion, and were able to secure the device.

René Ponce Fonseca, commander of the Honduras 105th Infantry Brigade, confirmed the finding of the grenade in the men’s bathroom of a commercial food establishment (unnamed).

“We have neutralized the same, and thankfully, it did not explode, as it had its safety on,” said the officer of the Armed Forces.

He added that “we know the goal of having a grenade in a fast food establishment, but we are working to identify those responsible,” he said.
