Resistance Abandons Zelaya

The resistance leader, Juan Barahona, said they will fight from now forward for the installation of a National Constituent Assembly, and have abandoned the fight to have former president Manuel Zelaya returned to office.

The so-called National Resistance Front gathered at the headquarters of the Union of Industry Workers and Allied Beverage (STIBYS) with its top leaders, to motivate its members to continue to fight in the streets.

“We have closed this chapter on the return of President Zelaya,” said Barahona. “There is nothing left to do, as there is little time left before January 27, 2010.” “Now the fight is for the Constituent, to strengthen us and prepare a medium-term goal, which is for an upcoming electoral process. We will participate with unity and the force of The Resistance to obtain our objective. Our struggle will be for the Constituent Assembly,” said the leader.

He also claimed that The Resistance will continue as “a force against the government that will assume power” and that this struggle is in “the interests of our country.”

The resistance plans to meet again tomorrow to determine their next steps.

They just do not get it, it is not that Zelaya fail to convince the people of Honduras because he was a bad demagogue, the people of Honduras made their choice about Socialism, it was not about Zelaya.

Members of the resistance, some of you must be old enough to remember that we did not want your ideology in the 60′ did not want it in the 70’s did not want it in the 80’s nor the 90’s, and definetely not today, so simply do the right thing, either shut up or move to a Socialist country.

Obviously Mr. Barahona is receiving some financial help from Chavez.
But, beware, Juan, your evil provider is in a precarious situation and has his hands full right now… Your support might not last as long as you think. Maybe joining the FARC might be a better choice for you right now to express the psychopathlogy that drives you to violence. Go away!!! Leave Honduras alone!

send uncle hugo to take you to Venezuela where you rightfully belong. ” LEAVE THEM IN PEACE
MR. JUAN BARAHONA”…..don/t use the innocent people for your vested interest….they had enough.
