U.S. Still Accepting Honduras TPS Applications

Honduran citizens who could not re-register for Temporary Protected Status (TPS) before June 3, 2013, have the opportunity to do so if they justify the reason for the delay. Persons wishing to take this opportunity to re-register for TPS must send a note explaining to the authorities of the office of Citizenship and Immigration Services United States of America (USCIS) why they could not re-enroll before June 3rd.

This procedure is known as the Good Cause Exception.

Those interested in re-enrolling for Honduras TPS after June 3 must submit the following:

1) A letter explaining the reasons which prevented you from sending the documents by June 3rd. Examples of just causes may be: health problems due to work, impairment, confusion with the deadline, and any other sufficient cause.

2) Forms I-821 and I-765, duly filled;

3) Money Order payable to “Department of Homeland Security “. [US $ 465.00 (which includes biometric payment of $ 85.00, and apply for work permit card $ 380.00]

Hondurans who have not previously registered for the Honduras TPS, and meet the requirements, are eligible to do so for the first time.

If at this time you do not have the economic resources needed to make the payment, you may submit form I-912 to justify why you do not have the ability to make the payment, together with all the necessary documentation (Form I-821, I-765).

The above documents must be sent to the following address:
