10 Life Sentences for Honduran National

A Honduran national involved in a brazen string of violent armed robberies in central Palm Beach County was handed 10 life sentences this morning for his role in the crimes.

Romero Raudales, 29, had been convicted last month on a slew of robbery, kidnapping and assault charges, as well as racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering for robberies he and four accomplices committed in the spring of 2008.

One of his accomplices, Ricardo Sanchez, 30, was sentenced last month to 13 life sentences in prison, nine of which he must serve consecutively.

Raudales’ attorney, Michael Hanrahan, called his client’s 10 consecutive life sentences “overly harsh, based on the fact that he has no appreciable history” of previous violent crimes…continue news article here.
