Congress Still in Session in Honduras

The National Congress is still speaking about the decision to, or not to, restore the former president, Manuel Zelaya Rosales to the executive position once again.

The session is being broadcast live on Honduran television, and many members of Congress are taking the opportunity to describe to the public in detail, their position.

So far, of those who have spoken:

According to the Liberal Congressperson, Elvia Valle Argentina, some 33 congressmen would favor restitution. Pepe Lobo, of the National Party, and the president-elect for 2010, stated that the National Party, 50 some odd votes, will not restore Zelaya to the presidency.

The National Congress Vice President, Ramon Velasquez Nassar, reminded the others that “despite the views of the Public Ministry, The Supreme Court of Justice, The Human Rights Organization, and the Attorney General, they must remember those opinions are not binding”. He also stated that they would have to review the international conventions to see if Zelaya can be transferred to another embassy or another country with safe passage.

How can there be 33 such people in Congress thinking “reinstate/restore to power”?

Are they blind, stupid, Venezuelan Chavistas or what?

Did they not see the hughe amount of Honduras that went out and voted after Zelaya asked them not to do that?

To anybody that can add 1+1 it should equal the same 2, it goes like this:

The animal calls for people not to go out to vote!

The people ignores the animal and go out to vote

    This equals the following:

The people do not want Zelaya telling them what to do, ergo, they do not want him as the leader of the country, easy as 1..2..3.

Unless one does not want to see it, or simply, have that dictator kind of mentality and chooses to ignore the message and desires of the people, like it happens in places like Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil too now, China, Vitenam, North Korea and all those other Socialist States where the leaders of Government believe their people so stupid that the simple idea of freedom of choice can not, and will not be considered.

Come on, integrants of the Honduran Congress, do the right thing for your constituents, the people that elected you to make as much money as you do spoke very loudly on Sunday’s elections, they do not want Zelaya.

Respect their choice and wishes, or are you as that animal, above all of them and feel like you know better and should do what is best for them regardless of what they choose?
