Two Hondurans Aboard Missing Boat

The Honduran Coast Guard has joined in a search that is underway off the northern coast of Honduras.

Yesterday, the 911 Emergency Communications Center of Grand Cayman received a report of a missing 37 ft. boat with four Caymanians and two Hondurans on board.

The watercraft left Grand Cayman on Saturday the 16th of July, and headed to the Swan Islands of Honduras. Six days later, it has not arrived at Islas del Cisne.

Linx helicopter are searching for the vessel. All ships have been advised to be on the lookout for the boat.

“We are obviously very concerned for the safety of all six persons on board, and we are doing everything we can to locate the vessel by utilizing all assets available to us,” said RCIPS Chief Inspector Malcolm Kay.
