Honduras Soccer Friendly Team Announced

Honduras’s team for the Oct. 8th soccer match in Miami has been announced.

Roger Espinoza, who’s been playing for Kansas City, Marvin Chavez, currently playing with FC Dallas, and Carlo Costly, with Houston, were all called upon for the game. Chavez’ call-up could affect FC Dallas, as Honduras also plays Jamaica on Oct. 11th, and FCD has a game against the Chicago Fire on Oct. 12th.

Some high-profile names missing include goalkeeper Noel Valladares, defender Emilio Izaguirre, midfielder Hendry Thomas and attackers Ramon Nunez, David Suazo, Georgie Welcome and Walter Martinez. D.C. United winger Andy Najar is also not part of the group.

The national team’s manager is Luis Fernando Suarez. Here are the Honduran team players for the match:

DEFENDERS – Osman Chávez (Wisla Krakow), Bryan Beckeles (Olimpia), Mauricio Sabillón (Marathón), Erick Norales (Marathón), Johnny Leverón (Motagua), Maynor Figueroa (Wigan Athletic).
