The Honduras U-17 national football team has gone undefeated at the FIFA U-17 World Cup being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Honduras soccer team plays at 10:00 am today against Brazil, a tough opponent who has accumulated 12 goals thus far in the competition. According to the BiColor U-17 coach, Jose Valladares, “Our players are ready to play for their country and give their all, without regard to their opponent.”

Honduras beat hosts UAE in their opener, and has kept up the pressure with a 2-2 draw against Slovakia in their second match. Today’s game against Brazil will be a deciding factor; if they tie or win, they will continue on to the final eight in the FIFA U-17 World Cup competition.
Comments have been made about the size of the Honduran players vs the rest of the teams in Group A, but coach Valladares addressed any concerns on that front, “Our players might not be the tallest, but they know how to play football. It doesn’t affect their performance at all. In fact, their amazing skill makes up for the difference in size. Our players are itching to take on Brazil. They want to show what they’re made of and put on a show.”
“Brazil is not easy, but we know that and have prepared for the competition. We hope to give new joy to the Honduran fans,” assured the coach of La Selección’s U17 Honduras National Football team.
