The Honduran Olympic Committee president, Salvador Jimenez, yesterday made official what the Central American Sports Organization, Ordeca, had already begun to consider, the impossibility of hosting the event.

Panamanian Meliton Sanchez, said it is very likely that the Games will be allocated amongst other countries in the region due to the inability of Honduras to carry out hosting this year.

An emergency meeting of the executive committee Ordeca is to convene today at 10:00 a.m., where they hope to decide on the alternate destination for the event.

The meeting will be attended by the Olympic committee presidents of seven countries that make up the organization.
