Honduras’s Year Ends With Cold Front

Tomorrow, December 31st, the final cold front of the year will be entering the country according to the National Weather Service (NWS). The new cold front is expected to be strong enough to last the entire weekend.

The Permanent Contingency Commission (COPECO), has asked the public to use sweaters and protective clothing during these low temperatures. Citizens are warned to pay careful attention to the elderly and children, as they can suffer from respiratory diseases.

COPECO anticipates rain along the Atlantic coast, and has kept the Green Alert in effect for those six Departments.
