Even though the Central American country is not as widely known in football circles as its South American counterparts like Brazil and Argentina, the performance of the national team in recent CONCACAF matches spells trouble for their opponents in this year’s World Cup.
This is the second time that Honduras has qualified for the football spectacular since Spain 1982, where they drew against Spain and Northern Ireland, but lost narrowly to Yugoslavia in the group stages.
This time around Los Catrachos – as the Honduran team are known – are hoping for fortune to be on their side, despite being drawn against tough teams in the group stages.
