New Free TV Programming in Honduras

In San Pedro Sula, VTV (before Vica Television) relaunched yesterday
their new TV show, with what they aim to be one of the best options
for viewers.

After months of preparation and millions of Lempiras invested in
equipment, technology, and over all human talent (and with a renewed
business image), VTV is preparing to “take by assault” the airwaves
with high quality programming focused on providing something
entertaining for every family member.

The changes have already been noticed in the results. Rigel Sierra, the Commercial Manager of VTV, stated that “we have
a growth of 500% in what was before the audience level”. Sierra
explained that some of the new programs include: Novels, Talk Shows,
Series, Infant programs, reality shows and movies. The program has
been renewed at 100%.

The TV show wants to consolidate its coverage to the level that it
reaches all the National Territory which they do by cable systems, but
for those who desire to reach it by open signal.

“We hope to have a full range of open signal by the end of 2011, and
then we won’t have to depend on the cable systems,” Sierra stated. At the moment the coverage of VTV is 90% of the National Territory.
