The body was found approximately 1.80 centimeters from the surface; investigators could see some bones and blue color clothes and immediately suspended the excavation so forensics could take over the rest.

The search of the boy that was abducted on October 30 of 2007 from his home in La Ceiba, Atlantida, was started after police got information from a gang member that was captured this past Monday along with his leader in San Pedro Sula.

According to one the gang members, after abducting the boy from his family´s home, they kept him several days but then decided to end with his life after he tried to escape.

Forensics is yet to confirm if body found is in fact Edwin Palacios.
