Presidential Honor Guards Promoted

The rank of Lieutenant Colonel of Health was presented to Edmundo Lizardo Barahona and Lieutenant Commander Gilberto Morales Ramos at the ceremony.

The head of the GHP, Andrés Felipe Díaz López, explained that with this promotion, the performance and merits of these two officers were recognized while serving in the military unit that has been responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the President and his family during the past six years. Díaz López commented at this internal ceremony, he predicted successful careers for the promoted officials.  He said that as the President of the GHP, he felt very honored that such excellent professionals were part of the body of officials of that organization.

In attendance at the ceremony, were the Deputy Head of the GHP, Mauricio Alemán Quiroz, officers of the Presidential general staff, and relatives of the promoted men.
