Social Security Director Removed from Office

The director of the Honduran Social Security Institute (IHSS) Efrain Bu Figueroa is the first official to be removed from office, according to the new government of national unity and reconciliation.  Bue was notified yesterday that he “would be leaving his post” on Thursday, said Obdulio Chevez, Deputy Minister of Labor.

Also leaving is the Deputy Director of the IHSS, Carlos Arturo Rivera.  “These movements are due to the integration and reconciliation plan that is being carried out pursuant to agreements” of the Tegucigalpa-San Jose” Accord, Rivera said.

Among the names that have been discussed for the posts of director and deputy director of Social Security are, Dr. Jose Manuel Matheu, Hector Flores, and Ruben Garcia, currently Vice President of Congress.  In addition, Evelyn Bautista, Alexis Reyes and Jorge Morales. Those selected will be sworn in Friday morning by President Roberto Micheletti.

The unity government must be formed on Thursday, as provided in accordance Tegucigalpa-San Jose.

On Tuesday, President Roberto Micheletti sent a letter to former President Manuel Zelaya to deliver “without delay” a list of ten names to select as the new public servants to serve in the unity government.  The request, however, was considered an insult to Zelaya, said his spokesman Rasel Tome.

To bad Mr. Zelaya what do you think that you have a say and that the government has to keep on listen to your stupidity. Take notice and retire.
