Waterback Obama has condemed this because
he is in bed with the same kind of thugs as Yugo
Chavez and Fidel Castro. I praise the Honduras
Government and Military for protecting their Freedom. It’s a shame the president of the U.S.A.
doesn’t feel the same way.Freedom is not free and has to be protected and fought for from time to time. The Leaders did their job and protected their country and people. I salute them.

I just returned from Roatan yesterday (6/27) and of course, the main concerns with both expatriates and the wonderful Honduran people were with Mel and his tyranical attempt to seize power and re-write the Honduran Constitution. I plan to retire there in late 2010. To a person, both foreign and citizens that I talked to, they were VERY much against ol’ Mel taking the government from the people and creating another puppet government basicially in the form of Chavez, Ortega, etc. The Honduran people have bascially been freedom loving and once again, freedom has prevailed. I look forward to permanently becoming a part of this great country. Viva Honduras and Viva Liberty.

How accurate can a poll like this be? My sister teaches in Honduras and Mel cancelled schools in Teguc for a day and then paid the students to “protest” in favor of allowing this vote. (This wasn’t the only time he paid people to support his positions) For this election, many people from the rural areas of the country will be bussed in and then paid more than a days wages to “comptensate them for their time”. How accurately does a vote like this reflet the will of the people?

I was just in Honduras. This vote is not something the people in Honduras want. This is initiated by the president, who is greedy for more power.

No Lina, this is not an opinion poll – Zelaya simply wants to change all the rules, like Hugo Chavez, so that he can take full political decisions. He was voted as a conservative president and now he is a full leftist. He should be impeached and removed from office immediately.

I’m so glad the military stepped in and removed him from him home. Get rid of him and onward with a better life for Hondurans!

If the people do not believe the voting poll is legal, based on the courts, then only the ones that have no respect for the law will be doing the voting. And that will only reflect their opinion. The opinion of the people that have no respect for the law.

If the people want to vote on a referendum, let them vote! Its not legally binding, just an opinion poll. That’s the only way to find out what the majority wants.
