I think Obama Administration is not supporting Zelaya. The United States is commited with the world to support democracy and freedom. The democracy and freedom have to have a support on the constitution and laws. According to many country’s democratic order, the way to take a president into a acourt of law, is the impeachment. But the impeachment requires the army to ship a president to another country like a merchandise? If This country has supported coup d’etats in the past in Honduras, why not support the respect of the mayority of people who democraticaly elected this president Zelaya, and change to another government in coming elections? They are not 20 years from now! The United States is right in taking a position on the side of the democracy, not on the side of Zelaya. It is my belief…

It’s 4am, I woke up my 5-year-old daughter, then my 7-year-old boy to help me with my matetes of coriander, some flowers, and chamomile; I am a single mom, living in Lepaterique, Honduras, today, I have to take the 6-am bus to Tegucigalpa, I am going to sell may products, my daughter carry a matate full of coriander on her little head, my son carries another one, myself carrying the rest, we have to walk 2 hours to get the bus. I have to be in Teguz, by 9 am, grab a spot in La Isla, cause today’s and tomorrow I am able to sell what I got. Tomorrow, I have to come back maybe with a Lps.75 profit. But, please, you people, keep on discussing if it was a military coup or not, your conclusion is going to really help me a lot.

I hate to see the aide end for Honduras. The poor people of Honduras always get the short end of the stick. First, the President robs the country blind and as a result, aide that can help the people is cut off. The government of Honduras has been corrupt for years. I have been to Honduras 14 times doing mission work. After Hurricane Mitch, American people becan sending aide and what happened? The government kept all the things we sent for themselves. This is why so many started taking things themselves so the people would actually get it. Just a couple of months ago, we paid thousands of dollars to send a container full of things for the people. Guess what happened to it? The officials at the port took most of it for themselves. I beg of the Honduran people, please be carefull who you elect to run your country. I beg of the world, please do not cut off assistance to these people I so dearly love. Ibeg of the world also toplease make sure that the aide gets to the people and not in the pockets of corrupt politicians.

US residents. Please send short letters to your representatives. My letter to Hillary:

    July 5, 2009

    Secretary of State Hillary Clinton

    Dear Hillary,

As you so well stated in your message to Americans: “the 4th of July is a day to reconnect with loved ones, to remember our history, and to renew our commitment to democracy, tolerance, and justice.”

Please help the people of Honduras keep their democracy. Support their provisional President Roberto Micheletti. Do not allow the likes of Manuel Zelaya, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chaves and Jose Miguel Insulza destroy their hopes and their faith in America.

It would be the best choice for the interm government to move up the date for the Presidential Elections to place prior to November. Let the Citizens of Honduras decide the next President of their country through democratic elections. That would ease tensions between Pro-Zelaya supporters and the international community.

I strongly think and believed that the rest of the world needs to wake up cause everybody knows by now that Zelaya is not innocent he so guilty it stinks, and we are talking about the lives of people here not dolls, cars but people and stopping the aid to Honduras is that solving the problem in my country? no, whats that suppose to be a punishment just because Honduras kick a corrupted president out that poisen the word president with his bad intentions did not give about his people to busy worrying about his own benefits and interest wow i am in shock and yes Honduras should moved the election date up and this time i think Honduras should do a back ground check on who so ever that will run for president that the people may make right choice this time , once again stopping aid is like telling us to our face you dont want to hear what we have to say but after all may god have mercy on you all cause its sad that my country is poor and it was already stressful for us before all this and now its worse Zelaya is out and needs to stay out cause as we all seen on the news from the day he was ousted his friendship with Chavez got closer should that count for something that those two we’re up to no good so there’s no doubt in my mind that the accusation is so true he is trying to find every option he can to get out the mess he created and now all these people, children has to pay for his corruption may god to bless us all viva Honduras

It is not a “coup” when it is ordered by the elected Congress and Supreme Court and based on Constitutional Law. It is a coup when it is instigated solely by the command of military leaders who then set up themsleves or their puppet as the leader, as Chavez did in Venezuela and Ortega in Nicaragua and Castro in Cuba, et al. Let’s get the terminology correct and stop allowing the liberal media reinvent the definitions. God bless the Honduran people for their strength and courage. May it not be soon exhausted by international pressure.

    Again,

The Government of Honduras should not have ousted their own President from power. That was not the best alternative to take! They could have did it within the confines of the law and democratically “impeached” Zelaya or brought him to trial since they claimed they had evidence

But a Military coup is not acceptable, especially for a Democratic country which is governed by laws and democratic bodies

On the other hand, this does not mean that I am siding with Zelaya, because I believe he is corrupt, and had intentions with Hugo Chavez to turn Honduras into a Communist state. But again, even if this was the case, it did not warrant ousting Zelaya out of his own country!!! That’s like the U.S. Senate ousting the U.S. President to another country…

I am sorry, but I “SMELL RAT” in the present Honduran Government – not saying Zelaya is innocent

    Peace

    People:

I think the right thing the Honduran Government should do now, is involve the people of Honduras, and launch a special election to poll those who want Zelaya back in power. Moreover, indicated to the people of Honduras that if the majority so desires for his reinstatement, the month where he has been refused power will be compensated, but the “evidence” of corruption and treason that the Supreme Court and Congress has against him, will be “put” to him in order to have him impeached or brought to trial.

I think this is the best and noblest act, the Honduran Government can pursue. If they fail to go this route, then it just proves that this present Government is not looking out for the best interest of its people, and is possibly corrupt

    Let’s hope for the best!

I admire the words of Leon Galatoire….he not need to be a Hoduran, like myself, to see the damage that Zelaya and his leftist friends will cause the country should they be allowed to take power again.
The majority of Hondurans will no allow a communist government in our county…it is not what we stand for and we will never give in into the ideas of Chavez and his Klan.

May God bless my beautiful Honduras and keep it free from those tyrants!

I believe discotinuing aid to the goood people of Honduras is an outrage! Secretary Clinton should hide her head in shame as the entire Obama administration for supporting Zelaya.
Obama administration is sending a message to all of Central and South America that it’s ok to disregard one’s constitution.
And who is behind all this? Chavez? The guy President Obama poses with at photo ops.?
This is a discrace and I am not that proud of being an American at this moment, at least not a North American.

    Leon Galatoire
