US to Halt All Non-Humanitarian Aid

At the end of US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton’s meeting with Mr. Manuel Zelaya, former President of Honduras, the State Department announced today it will stop $22 Million in Non-Humanitarian Aid to Honduras, and stated that “Restoration of the terminated assistance will be predicated upon a return to democratic, constitutional governance in Honduras.”

In addition to the terminated $22 million, as much as $200 million in Millennium Challenge funds could be halted as well. Mrs. Clinton is the chairperson on the board, who will discuss its funds earmarked for Honduras in next week’s meeting.

The State Department announced that it was revoking the visas of several people who had been identified as members or supporters of the current Honduran government.

Numerous US Congressional Republicans, backed by lawyers and lobbyists, are continuing their efforts in support of the Honduran government, accusing Mr. Zelaya of illegally trying to change the Constitution so that he could run for another term.

If the people have a free election in hounduras on election day that is monitored as free, fare
and not fixed. voted on by the people for the people as a free county, Have nato monitor and validate the results. All free nations should speak out and accept the results. No dictators like chavez or hitler or sadom ect shall change the laws of a free nation. A leader elected cannot change the laws of a nation or recieve protection in another country for trying to do so. The people of all free nations will demonstrate against the law breakers and protectors of them. Stay strong the people of the USA will stand with the protection of your laws. USA uphold the laws, of other nations.
Leaders of USA we will seek legal justice . The people vote and we will respect that vote and call for justice. One term is their law.
Our leaders can be impeaced and brought to justice as well. IF they choose to disregauard the democratic free elections of the people
anywhere in this world. Then they as well have broken our laws.

Hell, China sounds like a nicer FRIEND than that woman at the state department and her boss, the one who bowed to the prince of Sudi Arabia! I heard the Chinese are looking for a good parking place for their nuclear weapons too!!

Time to charge $2 million a month for Palmerola. Maybe even ask the Iranians or the Russians if they would like a nice long runway near every country member of the OEA to put their Nuclear weapons?

Those who support the golpistas are about 5% of the Hondurans.

The Honduran people don’t like being treated like donkeys. They get to have a huge say in all aspects of their nation. That’s what democracy is.

Considering that an estimated 65 to 70% of them live in poverty, it is obvious that those people will support some big changes.

Health care, living wages, more sick days and vacation days.

Social democracy is the way forward.

Social Democracy – get used to it.

Social Democracy is government by and for the people.

Resisting the will of the vast majority is futile.

    Peace on Earth
    Goodwill to All!

We have proof that Obama loves Communists… He has one appointed and in his circle of Czars, that is Von Jones, a self avowed communist, and the Green Czar in the Obama administration.

    Let’s review Ms. Clinton’s comments:

“Restoration of the terminated assistance will be predicated upon a return to democratic, constitutional governance in Honduras.”

    Which means what?

If free elections are scheduled and the people vote, then isn’t that a democractic governance of Honduras? Of course it is.

But isn’t Honduras at this very moment a democratic governance? Of course it is.

Then why the sudden suspension to all non-Humanitian aid? ($22 million US dollars is a whole lot of lempira that could be used to better the country)

My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Honduras daily. Stay strong mi amigos.

I think Honduras should denie visas to Obama and any of his supporters, such as Hillary and Hugo Chavez.
Everyone should be writing to their representatives, Senators, to Obama and Hillary and demand that they support Honduras in their stuggle for the preservation of their rights and against the Chavez invasion. Go to http://helphondurasnow.com/ for contact information.
Also, remember to go to Jim DeMint and tell him that you support his efforts to protect Hodnuras and let huim know that there is more to do. Freedom must be protected.

I better understand every day, what Mrs. Obama meant by not being very prowd of her country. In putting my life forward to serve our country, I would never have thought the US to be so mis-led and mis-guided and politically ignorant as we have become under the current president and in addition, this useless Sec. of State. I had hoped she would show more intelligence in her decision making processes than she has to date. We, the citixens of the US are being forced to hang our heads in shame over the un-Godly direction presently being taken. Wake up or face the changes of 2010.

  18. Miraclemant  September 3, 2009 at 3:52 pm

I believe it is time for the people of Honduras to demand that the Honduran government demand that the United States leave and abandon the military base that Honduras has allowed them to hold within the country of Honduras.

If the United States is so blind that the rule of the Honduran Constitution has NOT been broken, and the rule of law continues in Honduras, then I believe it is about time that the United States gets their military base out of Honduras.

I believe this would be an appropriate response for Honduras to the continued lies propigated by Obama, Secretary Clinton and the rest of the United States government.

I must first apologize for the unconscionable actions of the elected and unelected officials of the United States. Many in the US support the current Honduran government. This url sums of the situation quite nicely:

Would any body from the State Department bother telling us what is going on?
What part of “paying the consequences of knowinglly breaking Constitutional law” do you not understand?
Or how is it that you can turn a blind eye on the large displays of people demostrating their contempt for Zelaya and his promoter Chavez the Honduran people have staged all over the nation in hughe numbers.

  21. Axel Reyes  September 3, 2009 at 3:25 pm

For your information Ms. Hillary Clinton, democratic rule has not left Honduras.

Stop being such a mean person, diplomat, official, whatever you want to call yourself.
Makes me wonder, this attitude of yours, wether you are doing exactlly the oposite of what
Mr. Clinton your HUSBAND would have done. It is a very high price that Honduras has to pay for your feelings of insecurity, if that is what it is.

Just do the right thing, the Honduran people are not pawns to be discarded in a Political game of Chess, you are being so superficial in all of this.
How is it that you justify the reaction of you Department, and for that matter, of your President, do not tell me that this is a reaction to what Ambassador Llorens may have told you, it is obvious he is hiding some shady doings with Zelaya, like knowing that one of your mayor enemies on the war on drugs in Honduras is Zelaya’s brother, and who knows what other bits of dark truth he knows, and kept from you and know you are protecting him instead of the people of Honduras.
We have been allies of the USA for many decades, how can you throw us to the wolves like this now?
Honduras has withstood much criticism from its neighbors for many years for always upholding the American standards of Democracy and freedom in the region, and now you attack us because of our “knee jerk” reaction to an advance of Communist forces on our country, you should be ashamed and are a shame to the Americans tah do not believe in betraying their friends.

  22. Steve Thomas  September 3, 2009 at 3:15 pm

The U.S. makes me ashamed when they do stupid things like this. Of course, Obama would like to do exactly what Zelaya tried to do, so there ya’ go.
