Zelaya believes there will never be justice in Honduras regarding the coup, and called for the reform of Honduras’s two-party system, made up of the Liberal and National parties.

Zelaya founded the Partido Libertad y Refundación (Liberty and Refounding Party) shortly after his return to Honduras.
